1. Mission and Vision
1.1~~ Vision of Harvest Gathering Place: Where the Community Connects
1.2~~ Mission of Harvest Gathering Place: The Harvest Gathering Place seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ by providing a safe place for the community to enjoy fellowship through wholesome activities. We strive to grow in relationships while identifying and meeting the need of others.
2. Procedures for Building Use
2.1~~ After completing an application for building use and submitting it via the church website or church office no less than 2 weeks before use, applicants will be notified within 48 hours for approval of event.
2.2~~ Applicants will be contacted by an event coordinator to schedule all necessary unlocking of Harvest Gathering Place. All questions regarding the use of the building for the event will be directed to the designated event coordinator.
2.3~~ Any accidents that occur during the course of the event should be recorded in an accident report, located in the administrative binder that will reside at the Harvest Gathering Place.
2.4~~ Any physical damage to the building that occurs during the course of the event is the financial responsibility of the applicant.
3.1~~ The Harvest Gathering Place may be used for pre-approved activities that will be open to the community. These activities include but will not be limited to small group classes for teaching various skills or social activities such as ping pong, board games, craft projects, etc.
3.2~~ Planned activities must be open to the community but can be limited in numbers via a sign-up sheet (e.g. art classes, craft projects, etc.). All activities are non-profit, although a fee may be charged for actual expenses for materials.
3.3~~ The Harvest Gathering Place is equipped with a restroom, WiFi, and first aid. There are no kitchen facilities available.
3.4~~ This is a chem-free facility.
3.5~~ Overflow parking is available at Harvest Chapel. Please do not park on the shoulders of Union Street.
3.6~~ The number of persons occupying the Harvest Gathering Place at any one time may not exceed 47 by order of the fire marshal.
3.7~~ Horus of availability will be determined on an as-needed basis.
3.8~~ A closing checklist must be filled out upon completion of activity. These will be located on the premises of the Harvest Gathering Place.
3.9~~ All games, books, puzzles, etc. must be picked up and put away along with any accumulated trash. Food must be removed. Please note any damaged items that need repair and bring it to the attention of the event-manager.
3.10~~ The only animals that will be allowed at the Harvest Gathering Place are Service Dogs. "A service animal is a dog that has been trained to work or perform tasks directly related to a person's disability." Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
